A Nigerian cyclist undertaking a daring solo journey from Nigeria to the United States has shared a deeply personal moment of doubt, pain, and divine inspiration that reignited his determination to keep going.
As he approached the Togo border, the cyclist whose name is gradually gaining recognition for this extraordinary mission stopped briefly in Grand Popo to rest. It was there that he received a phone call that nearly shattered his resolve.
“It was one of those calls,” he recounted. “The kind that drains your soul. From the beginning to the end, it was all fear, doubt, discouragement, no hope.”

Voices on the other end told him to give up. “Turn back. You can’t do it. It’s too much,” they said. Though he hung up in anger and frustration, the words lingered, echoing in his mind like a curse.
But at his lowest point, music became his medicine.
He pulled out his phone and played DJ Khaled’s anthem “GOD DID,” locking onto the lyric: “They didn’t believe in us… but GOD DID.”
“When that beat dropped, something shifted,” he shared. “My legs felt lighter. My spirit was lifted. The pain disappeared. It was like God Himself was behind me, pushing every pedal.”
It was in that moment that the cyclist remembered why he embarked on this cross-continental journey in the first placenot for likes or fame, but for a greater cause.
“I’m doing this for those who have nothing. For the orphans. For the displaced. Pain? Yes. I feel it. But it can never compare to the pain of losing your parents, having no roof over your head, no food, no phone, no one.”
Despite the physical and emotional toll, the cyclist affirmed he has no plans to quit. “I’ve come too far to stop now. And you know what? GOD DID. And God will finish what He started.”
His message to supporters was simple but powerful: “To everyone riding with me, THANK YOU. To those doubting me, WATCH GOD.”
As he continues his arduous journey toward the United States, his story is inspiring many across Africa and beyondnot just for his endurance, but for his unwavering faith, purpose, and powerful reminder that belief can turn pain into purpose.
